Friday was July 24th - and in Utah - Pioneer Day. Pioneer Day is celebrated because it is the day that Brigham Young entered the Salt Lake valley and said "this is the right place". We are thankful for the blessings of living in beautiful Utah and are humbled by the countless sacrifices of the many pioneers! Our pioneer celebrations included going to see the Disney movie "Up" (if I had known it was a tear jerker I would of chosen Ice Age 3 or G-Force), a parade (the parade actually was first thing in the morning with our ward and a breakfast), swimming, BBQ, outdoor movie (Scout Camp - go Davis) and finished off with the kids camping outside in the backyard in the rain!
