I also want to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day! Mother's and women are ANGELS and I feel so blessed for sisters, friends, Mom, Grandma's and neighbors! Thank you for your influence and example to me and also your help and example in teaching our children and encouraging them to reach for the stars!
I had a nice day - Ralph made a great breakfast (croissant french toast - amazing)! I got lots of cards and letters, a luxury pedicure from Brianna, sweats, a family picture the kids took at the park, and Ashten took a water bottle and wrapped it in a sock so it would look like me (maybe a hint that I should get ready for the day before 3:00 pm).
Church was pretty busy - Brianna spoke in Sacrament meeting and Mason sang a solo. Palmer sang for the first time with the Primary (thankful for the moments like these -it keeps me going through stinky sticky times). I got to go with Ralph to his class with the 12-15 year old boys and talk about the blessings of motherhood for a few minutes. Brianna taught Palmer's Sunbeam class (Palmer was the only one that came). We visited Grandma and Grandpa and then fixed dinner for us, Grammy and Granddad and Rob & Nikki. Busy day but a nice Mother's Day

Marjorie Peay Hinckley said the following which is a great reminder for me as a mom because it is so easy to lose perspective of what is really important."I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfefctly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someon's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."
I love that quote and the pictures are beautiful. Glad your had a nice day.
